Germany says it cannot directly supply Ukraine with heavy weapons

German Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht said on Thursday that Germany will not directly supply heavy weapons to Ukraine during an interview with German broadcaster NTV.
However, Germany has reached an agreement with eastern European partners to supply Ukraine with a new batch of heavy weapons "in the next few days," Lambrecht said.
