French President Emmanuel Macron and his challenger Marine Le Pen went head-to-head in their only live presidential debate. The nearly three-hour debate was held Wednesday night on TV. Macron accused Le Pen of being "dependent" on Russian President Vladimir Putin because of a loan her party took from a Russian bank. He also accused his far-right rival of wanting to pull France out of the European Union. Le Pen struck back with a pledge to put money back in the pockets of French citizens who have gotten poorer during Macron's presidency. She also stood by her plans to ban the hijab in public spaces. CGTN reporter Ryan Thompson has more.
