The Australian government has imposed sanctions on 147 Russian citizens over Ukraine, including senators and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov's daughter and two daughters of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Australian media reported.

Russian agency TASS had earlier said Sergei Lavrov was also targeted but later clarified their report.

Nearly 750 individuals and entities are now on Australia's sanctions list over Russia's "special military operation" in Ukraine.
