As little sign emerges of an end to the war in Ukraine, the world has been dragged into another crisis in energy. During the Boao Forum for Asia 2022, Janos Pasztor, executive director of the Carnegie Climate Governance Initiative, pointed out that leaders always deprioritize the urgency of existing problems whenever a new geopolitical crisis emerges, and that has to be avoided as it will slow the progress made on carbon neutralization, endangering all humanity.
