The foot of Alatao Mountain in Bortala, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is taking on a spring look. But you can experience all four seasons in one day if you decide to go climbing. With an altitude of over 4,000 meters, temperatures can range from 28 degrees Celsius at the foot to below zero at the summit this time of the year. Alatao Mountain is about 60 kilometers north of Bole City. It's part of the Tianshan Mountains and borders Kazakhstan.
