Israel has said it will close on Sunday its only crossing for workers from the Gaza Strip. The announcement came after militants from the Palestinian enclave fired three rockets. The rocket attacks on Friday and Saturday followed several days of clashes between Israeli police and Palestinians at the Al-Aqsa mosque compound in Jerusalem. A unit of the Israeli defense ministry said that the reopening of the Erez crossing will be decided based on a security situation assessment. Stephanie Freid in Tel Aviv has more.
