Nanjing, capital of east China's Jiangsu Province, is a city with a history of more than 1,800 years. Once served as the national capital for six dynasties, it is also China's first "Creative City of Literature" designated by UNESCO, boasting an ancient literary tradition and heritage. On this year's World Book Day, China Media Group and the city of Nanjing launched a special program to explore the city's literary legacy, honor great works and celebrate the love of reading.
