All people who reside and work in Beijing's Chaoyang District will get tested for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, district health authorities announced Sunday afternoon.  

The decision came after the Chinese capital saw a resurgence of local COVID-19 cases, which is now primarily spreading in Chaoyang District. 

As of Sunday afternoon, 41 infections have been found in Beijing since April 22, including 26 in Chaoyang.  

Local health officials warned of difficulty responding as preliminary epidemiological results have shown the virus remained unnoticed for a week.
