The China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) announced on April 23 that the construction of the Lyuda 5-2 North oilfield was completed. It is China's first super-heavy offshore crude oil thermal recovery oilfield put into operation. The proven geological reserves of crude oil in the Bohai Sea have reached 4.2 billion tons. Heavy crude oil will be the next focus of oil and gas exploitation and development in the future.
