Two Chinese-themed floats joined the Netherlands' annual flower parade in the city of Noordwijk on April 23 to celebrate 50 years of China-Netherlands diplomatic relations. Decorated with more than 20,000 flowers, the two Chinese-themed floats showed the Dutch public the zodiac culture of the Year of the Tiger. The flower float was created to express the Dutch people's love of peace and hatred towards war after World War II, but today it has become a spring-time symbol of the country.
