European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen's visit to India follows a trip last week by British Prime Minister Boris Johnson. India has been very much reliant on Russian defense technology and has refused to openly condemn Russia over the fighting in Ukraine. Swaran Singh, a professor at Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi, says that Europe is hoping India will take a harder stance on Russia.
