India and the European Union (EU) have agreed to set up a trade and technology council. A deal was reached during a visit to Delhi by EU chief Ursula von der Leyen. The bloc has a similar agreement only with the United States. Western countries have been encouraging Delhi to reduce ties to Moscow, following the Ukraine crisis. India, while calling for ceasefire, has not condemned Russia for the conflict. Ravinder Bawa is in New Delhi with more on this.
