Around 90 percent of the world's commodities are moved by ships, and nearly half of those vessels are built in China. Behind the all-important industry is a highly-skilled and often-invisible workforce. On this Labor Day holiday, we celebrate unsung heroes of the nation's thriving maritime economy. This is the story of Feng Wenhu, National Model Worker of 2022, and one of the welders that built the world's first ice-breaking Arctic condensate tanker.
