The construction of an intercity railway line linking Beijing and Hebei Province's Tangshan City is in full swing. The intercity railway will carry people between eight stations with a total length of 148.7 km and a maximum designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour. It is expected to be ready for traffic within the year, as part of efforts to drive the integration of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei transportation.
