Shanghai reports 1,661 new confirmed COVID-19 cases

China's Shanghai on Monday reported 1,661 new confirmed locally transmitted COVID-19 infections; and 15,319 local asymptomatic COVID-19 cases, the municipal health commission said Tuesday.
The city also logged 52 deaths on Monday due to basic diseases.
