UN more than doubles aid appeal for Ukraine to $2.25 billion

Humanitarians have launched a renewed appeal that calls for $2.25 billion to provide assistance and protection for nearly nine million Ukrainians, and the amount is more than double an initial appeal announced just days after the conflict began on February 24, the UN announced on Monday.
