Poland and Bulgaria are now receiving gas from the EU after Russia halted its energy supply, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said on Wednesday, adding the EU will present plans to speed up the green transition in mid-May.
She also warned that paying for gas in Russian rubles may breach sanctions and pledged that the EU would reduce dependency on Russian fossil fuels this year.
