Shanghai reports 1,606 new confirmed COVID-19 cases

Shanghai on Tuesday registered 1,606 new confirmed locally transmitted COVID-19 infections, and 11,956 local asymptomatic cases, the municipal health commission said on Wednesday.
The city also logged 48 deaths on Tuesday.
