U.S. defense chief leaves open possibility for Ukraine reapplying for NATO

U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has left open the possibility that Ukraine could reapply for NATO membership in the future. He said NATO will always have an open door, and the first step is to end the conflict with Russia. Austin made the comments while hosting more than 40 countries for defense talks in Germany.
