Germany's Bundestag lower house of parliament on Thursday overwhelmingly approved a petition backing the delivery of weapons, including heavy arms, for Ukraine to help it fend off Russian attacks.
In response, the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev blasted German legislators for the approval.
"This is sad for Parliament. It ends sadly," he said in a Telegram post.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has previously warned that weapons deliveries to Ukraine threaten European security.
