Mass testing continues across the Chinese capital, Beijing to help contain a COVID-19 outbreak in the city. Local authorities reported 56 new infections over a 24-hour period, between 3 p.m. on Wednesday and 3 p.m. on Thursday. Three of those were asymptomatic cases. All public entertainment venues have been temporarily closed in the central district of Chaoyang, where the bulk of the cases are being reported.
