Freight services launched on China-Laos Rail to facilitate fruit trade
01:02

The China-Laos Railway launched intermodal road-rail transport services for cross-border fruit trade on Thursday. The freight train loaded with cold-chain containers carrying 520 tonnes of durians from Thailand, departed from the southwestern China's Mohan port and transported them to Kunming, capital city of Yunnan Province, and then distributed to cities across China. The Mohan port is stepping up the application and construction of designated regulatory sites for the import of grains and fruits. When they enter operation, the China-Laos railway will be able to transport imported agricultural and related products in a full manner.
