South Korea will relax its outdoor face-mask mandate from next week. It's the latest step to ease COVID-19 restrictions as cases continue to decline. Health officials said even with the easing of social distancing, outbreaks are stabilizing.

Not everyone agrees, though. The incoming government, due to take office in less than two weeks, called the decision "premature". On Friday, South Korea reported over 50,000 new cases, down from a peak of more than 620,000 a day last month.
