A health certificate verifying a negative local nucleic acid test within seven days will be required to get access to all public places and transportations from May 5, Beijing authorities announced on Saturday as the city fights an ongoing COVID-19 resurgence.

Meanwhile, the city authorities also said that nucleic acid test will be free of charge for all citizens starting from May 3.
