A fire broke out in the technological building at the power plant GRES-2 in the village of Ilinskoye on Sakhalin in Russia, local media reported citing a regional official.

The fire started at a turbogenerator in a technological building, and all 30 employees were safely evacuated.

The report said that the local power supply was not affected following the incident.
