Shanghai reports 1,249 new confirmed COVID-19 cases

China's Shanghai on Friday reported 1,249 new confirmed locally transmitted COVID-19 infections; and 8,932 local asymptomatic COVID-19 cases, the municipal health commission said Saturday.
The city also logged 47 deaths on Friday due to basic diseases.
