The Russian Defence Ministry claims that civilians were killed and injured when Ukrainian forces fired on settlements in the Kherson region, TASS News Agency reported on Sunday.

The ministry has asserted that a school, a kindergarten and private residences were seriously damaged, and that power has been partially disrupted throughout the region.

There has been no response yet from the Ukrainian side.
