A blast in the southwestern Pakistani city of Quetta in Balochistan Province injured several people on Sunday evening, including two severely, rescue and police officials said.

The explosion occurred at about 8:00 p.m. local time (1500 GMT) near a government building on the Airport Road, a senior rescue department official told Xinhua.

Police are investigating the cause of the blast.
