A team of China Media Group reporters hiked toward the forward base camp at an altitude of 6,500 meters on Mount Qomolangma during a scientific expedition on May 1. They recorded the scenery along the way. The ongoing Peak Mission expedition is a part of China's second comprehensive scientific research project on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, launched in 2017.
