At least eight people were killed and three injured in a fire that engulfed a residential area at the University of the Philippines Diliman early Monday morning, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection. Local radio DzBB reported that the blaze burned down an estimated 80 houses and affected around 250 families. The reason for the fire is still under investigation.
