The Italian Alps have been lit up by 29 light installations, as part of a festival in Bressanone in Dolomite Mountains. “Water is Life – Light is Art” is the festival's theme, and different works of art connected by a 3.2-kilometer-long blue line are on display, creating an art trail through the old town. With pieces dedicated to global warming and space photography, the light festival is slated to conclude on May 22. However, a change is scheduled in the festival's theme, with light to become the focus on May 16, to coincide with the United Nations International Day of Light.
