Recently, a salmon farm in Nilka County has helped local farmers use locally-devised technology to operate more efficiently in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. In springtime, an underwater robot designed at the salmon farm is used by local farmers to remove silt from lakes. With the help of an automated sorting machine, the process goes swimmingly. Farmers have seen a steady rise in their incomes through the innovative use of the region's rich natural resources.
