The 2022 Atlantic hurricane season is forecast to happen from June 1 to November 30. The areas covered include the Atlantic Ocean, Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Sea. Research from Colorado State University forecast an above average hurricane season this year. An average Atlantic hurricane season has about 14 named storms, seven hurricanes, with three being categorized as major.
