Burundi's military said on Wednesday that 10 of its African Union peacekeepers were killed in an attack on their base in Somalia after the Al Shabab group claimed dozens were killed and injured in the attack, which took place on Tuesday.
Burundi's state television quoted army spokesperson Floribert Biyereke as saying that 25 other soldiers were wounded in the raid on a camp near the village of El Baraf in central Somalia, while 20 "Al Shabab terrorists" were killed.
