Russia will take further steps to reduce the monopoly of the U.S. dollar as the main reserve currency and payment in international trade, Dmitry Birichevsky, the director of the department for economic cooperation of  Russia's foreign ministry, said during an interview.

"We will take further steps aimed at reducing the monopoly of the discredited U.S. dollar as the main reserve currency and means of payment in international trade," Birichevsky said.
