Changsha building collapse survivor to firefighter: 'You're my hope'

Firefighters went to the hospital to visit a survivor who was rescued from a collapsed building in Changsha City, central China's Hunan Province. The survivor thanked the firefighter who rescued her and burst into tears, saying, "You're my hope." The firefighter took off his 119 fighter badge and gave it to the survivor, telling her, "I want you to be strong and brave, so that you can help more people."

The self-constructed building in Changsha's Wangcheng District toppled at 12:24 p.m. on April 29. As of May 5, 10 survivors have been rescued.
