Shanghai authorities hold a press conference on the latest measures to contain the COVID-19 resurgence. The city registered 245 locally transmitted symptomatic cases and 4,024 asymptomatic cases on Thursday, the municipal health commission said Friday. 

So far seven districts in Shanghai have reached zero-COVID status and over 70 percent of Shanghai's 1,800-plus major enterprises have resumed work and production.
