Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said on Friday that Russia's "special military operation" in Ukraine is going according to plan.

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said the operation was "dragged on" during an interview with the AP news agency on Thursday.

Peskov said Russian President Vladimir Putin will speak at the Victory Parade on May 9 and lay flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers on the Victory Day, while a wide celebration of Victory Day in Mariupol is still "impossible."

The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Wednesday a three-day ceasefire for evacuation of civilians from the Azovstal steel plant in Ukraine's Black Sea port city of Mariupol.

A senior Ukrainian official said on Friday that a new attempt to evacuate civilians trapped with Ukrainian fighters in the Azovstal steelworks is underway in Mariupol.

Peskov said that Putin will hold a meeting on economic issues on May 10, and talks between Putin and Lukashenko are planned at the upcoming CSTO summit in May.

The Kremlin has "no information" about Ukrainian media allegations about an alleged strike on a Russian warship in the Black Sea, Peskov said.
