A fire broke out on Saturday morning in a two-story building in Indore City in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, according to ANI News Agency.

At least seven people were dead, and nine had been rescued, Indore Police Commissioner Harinarayana Chari Mishra said.

The officer believed that the fire might have started through a short circuit.
