The Chinese mainland recorded 351 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Friday, with 345 linked to local transmissions and six from overseas, data from the National Health Commission showed on Saturday.

A total of 4,324 new asymptomatic cases were also recorded on Friday, and 103,935 asymptomatic patients remain under medical observation.

Confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland now total 219,296, with the death toll at 5,166.

The latest tally of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan region is as follows:

Hong Kong: 331,181 (60,323 recoveries, 9,344 deaths)

Macao: 82 (82 recoveries)

Taiwan: 268,569 (13,742 recoveries, 896 deaths)
