Buddha's birthday falls on the 8th day of the fourth month on the Chinese lunar calendar. In Kangding City of the Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Garzê, southwest China's Sichuan Province, cultural activities are held annually as part of the "Zhuan Shan" festival to celebrate the occasion.
