The World Snooker Tour (WST) published their 2022 end-of-season awards on Friday. Neil Robertson was named WST's Player of the Year for the first time, having won four major tournaments during the 2021/22 season.

The 40-year-old Australian enjoyed success at the English Open, the Masters, Players Championship and the Tour Championship to mark the most prolific season of his career.

Ronnie O'Sullivan won the Performance of the Year award for his record-equaling seventh World Championship, along with the Snooker Journalists' Player of the Year award, which was voted by global media covering the sport. The Rocket also won the World Grand Prix and finished the season as the world No.1.

China's Zhao Xintong received the Fans' Player of the Year award, as the 25-year-old claimed his first ranking title at the UK Championship before taking the German Masters and climbing to number six in the world.

Also enjoying success is Zhao's younger compatriot Wu Yize, with the 18-year-old winning Rookie of the Year after reaching the last 32 of three ranking events during a promising debut season.
