COVID-19: Students return to school after a month in China's Taiyuan
00:56

After a month-long suspension of classes, primary and middle school students returned to campus on Monday in Taiyuan, capital of Shanxi Province.

All classes in Taiyuan were suspended due to an outbreak of Omicron variant of Covid-19  in early April.

Authorities controlled the outbreak at the end of the month.

The city reported just over 350 cases.

School authority and students follow strict preventive and control measures, including  wearing mask, body temperature checks and showing health and travel codes.

On the re-opening day, students had to provide proof of vaccination and PCR test results within 48 hours.

Ahead of the reopening day, all areas in school were disinfected.
