Russia and Algeria intend to sign an agreement that will reflect the new quality of bilateral relations, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said after meeting with  Algerian Foreign Minister Ramtan Lamamra on Tuesday.

His visit is the first since January 2019 and comes as the two countries mark the 60th anniversary of their establishment of diplomatic relations.
