The EU's sanctions against Russia have come back to haunt its own economy as it followed the U.S. sanctions on Russia. Energy and food prices are soaring while people are suffering. Although the EU has been promoting "strategic autonomy," it has always been hijacked by the U.S. regarding relations with Russia and falling prey to the U.S. hegemony.
