Chinese scientists discovered the most complete hadrosaurus embryo scientifically recorded so far after a detailed study of dinosaur egg fossil specimens. The embryo specimens are kept in a branch of Fujian Science and Technology Museum. The dinosaur egg where the embryo lies takes the shape of an ellipsoid with a length of about 9 centimeters. The egg was found in the Late Cretaceous strata in southern Jiangxi Province, with a history of 66 million to 72 million years. Hadrosaurs were giant herbivorous dinosaurs that lived at the end of the age of dinosaurs. The findings will provide valuable information for studying dinosaur reproductive development, behavior, evolution and paleoecology.
