Study: China could risk 1.5 M deaths if zero-COVID policy dropped
00:40

A recent study says that China could risk up to 1.5 million deaths if it were to drop its Zero-COVID policy. The peer-reviewed research was conducted by scientists in China and the US. Their predictions however exclude the use of any safety measures, such as continuing vaccinations or access to treatment for those diagnosed with COVID. China's senior health advisers have defended the Dynamic Zero-COVID policy claiming it is effective and has the lowest social costs.
