Ukraine claims to have recaptured some settlements near Kharkiv. American lawmakers have approved more than 40 billion dollars more in military and humanitarian aid for Ukraine. The United Nations says the true civilian death toll far out-numbers official figures and that more than 8 million people have been internally displaced.
