From March, China's largest inland saltwater lake, Qinghai Lake, welcomes countless migratory birds, including cormorants. With long, thin and hooked bills, the birds are good divers and fish eaters, thus traditionally local fishermen used them to help catch fish. Their breeding seasons last for 3 months, from April to June, they build their nests and prepare for the arrival of their newborns.
