Shanghai reports 227 new confirmed COVID-19 cases

China's Shanghai on Thursday reported 227 new confirmed locally transmitted COVID-19 cases; and 1,869 local asymptomatic COVID-19 cases, the municipal health commission said Friday.
The city also logged two deaths on Thursday due to basic diseases.
